Our farm is a labor of love.  After buying 10+ acres in Gates County, NC, we decided to venture into hobby farming, raising miniature horses, fainting and pygmy goats, guinea hens, and several breeds of chickens, including Silkie, Cochin and Polish (Top Hats) and Buff Orphington.  This is an ongoing learning experience for us (and our animals).  They have brought us so much joy! 

We raise our animals in a "green" environment, i.e., we do not use any chemicals or pesticides.  Our guinea hens, known as "the farmer's watchdog", are in charge of security and pest control.

All our horses, goats and chickens live a very pampered life.  They are free-ranged during the day and retire to safe enclosed housing at night. 

As a result, we enjoy healthy, organic eggs from our fowl friends and we're happy to say we've never lost any fowl to predators.

Maintaining an animal farm is a 24/7 job; there is always something to do.  Soon one becomes a midwife, farrier, nurse and stable hand, but our animals make it worthwhile.  In them, we see "Lil Bits of Heaven” on a daily basis.  Enjoy your visit and please come back soon to see new additions to our farm.
